Finger Vibrato
This is a diagram of the flute illustrating the slight opening & closing of the G key used to give the pitch based vibrato used at certain points during the piece. It is a different effect from timbral trills which are sometimes referred to as finger vibrato or bisbigliando technique; these are often used in both baroque style and contemporary works. However this technique is without obvious precedent in a piece of western published flute repertoire; obscure examples may exist.
